- While there is some truth in what Lee says, most is an overstatement.
- I have had a Telepath II 14400 modem for aboutr six months and it has
- worked perfectly once I sussed out an init string. I used
- successfully AT&H1&R2S10=100S36=0; RESET ATH0&F1; EXIT ATZ.
-
- I not have replaced the Telepath with a USR Sportster 28,800 and I can
- understand now why other refere to the Gateway version of the USR
- modem as junk. Certainly the USR version of the modem seems to me to
- be light years better and assures reliable connections. Take Lee's
- advice; get a USR.
